The tinsel is out en masse, the ham is carved. The sun is threatening to be out frying every inch of Melbourne. Sadly, this may include your coolant system, if you're unlucky.
Because cars don't stop breaking down just because Santa has clocked on, Auto Tech Group is keeping our workshops open for almost the entire Christmas and New Year period!
Auto Tech will only be closed on the 25th & 26th of December, and the 1st & 2nd of January.
Every other day?
You'll find us right where you need us. In the workshop, tools at the ready, air con blasting, with the espresso machine that Santa will no doubt deliver us on high alert.
Why Stay Open? Because Breakdowns Don't Respect Holidays.
We love Christmas as much as anyone. Engines, batteries and tyres, however, do not care about your festive plans.
Summer is peak breakdown season. Road trips to the coast, the mountains, and to see the family you can only tolerate once a year...the last thing you want is steam coming out from under your bonnet instead of your pudding.
We stay open because:
road trips happen
temperatures soar
towing fees hurt
and prestige cars deserve expert attention when you actually need it
From Mercedes-Benz to Lexus, Land Rover to Porsche, BMW, Audi, Toyota and beyond, if it's prestige and it's playing up, we're your people.
Summer: The Silent Saboteur
Long drives + heat + luggage + traffic = motoring mayhem.
This time of year exposes weakness in:
cooling systems
air conditioning
tyres
batteries
oil and filters
So if something isn't sounding right, smelling right, or feeling right, trust your instincts. And then bring it in to us.
Book Now & Skip the January Chaos
January in automotive is like the classic New Year's gym membership. Everyone suddenly decides to become proactive and start the year off right.
Beat the rush by booking before or after Christmas!
A Quick Note on New Year's
We down tools on the 1st & 2nd of January to recover from questionable champagne based decisions made on the 31st of December.
But from the 3rd onwards? It's business as usual.
We're back, bright-eyed, bushy tailed and ready to take care of you and your German, British, Japanese, Italian or whatever car.
